The Recent History of FISA

This podcast provides an extensive and simple overview of the laws and rules of FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) to provide context to the IG Report released on December 9, 2019. It shows how it was expanded and allowed for multiple investigative agencies to access surveillance information on American citizens as well as what’s required for FISA warrants to explain the corruption that occurred in FISA warrants of General Michael Flynn and the Trump campaign, which were approved between 2014-2016.

I discuss here an objective legal and analytical overview of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 and the amendments and modifications to that act following the 9/11 terror attacks to provide an in depth analysis of foreign intelligence objectives and laws to safeguard US national security interests.
